FAQ
Which values do I need to enter?
Provide any two of Voltage (V), Current (I), Resistance (R), or Power (P). The calculator solves the remaining two using Ohm’s Law and power equations.
Do units matter?
Yes. Use the unit dropdown next to each field (V/mV/kV, A/mA, Ω/kΩ/MΩ, W/mW/kW). Values are converted internally so mixed units are fine.
What formulas are used?
Ohm’s Law and power relations:
V = I×R, P = V×I, P = I²R, P = V²/R. The app chooses the simplest valid pair based on your inputs.Why did I get “insufficient or inconsistent inputs”?
You likely entered fewer than two values or a conflicting set (e.g., values that don’t satisfy the equations). Check zeros/negatives and try again.
Does it handle AC circuits or only DC?
This simple calculator assumes DC (or AC at a single moment using RMS values). For reactive components (L/C), impedance is frequency-dependent and not covered here.
How is rounding handled?
Results are rounded to a sensible precision for readability. If you need more precision, you can change the unit (e.g., Ω → kΩ) or copy the result and compute further.
Is any data collected?
No. It runs fully in your browser with no tracking and works offline once cached.
